STOUGHTON - The Monroe girls swimming team got a glimpse of how they will stack up against other teams in the conference at the Badger Conference Relays on Tuesday.

Monroe finished sixth (80 points) at the eight-team relays. Milton won the meet with 152 points, ahead of McFarland (138) and Madison Edgewood (122).

"The dual conference season will be a tough one again for us," Monroe coach Linda Moser said. "But this meet helps me once again look at what the girls can do individually and collectively, as well as gives the girls a chance to see what they are up against this season. As always it was a fun and high-energy meet. The girls did a great job in the water tonight, once again against their very tough conference competitors."

The Cheesemakers took second in the 100-yard freestyle relay and second in the 200 backstroke relay. The 100 freestyle relay team of Alacia Keegan, Sarah Kind, Lauren Werth and Briana Katzenberger took second with a time of 57.27 seconds.

Kind teamed with Anna Meritt, Angie Beaver and Rachel Root to finish second in the 200 backstroke relay with a time of 2:05.66.

The Cheesemakers took third in the 400 medley relay, which required each swimmer to swim a 100 IM. The Cheesemakers' 400 medley relay team of Kind, Beaver, Anika Nelson and Root took third with a time of 4:43.80.
