FORT ATKINSON - The Blackhawks blitzed the Cheesemakers Tuesday, scoring five first-half goals en route to an 8-2 win.

"It's like in basketball when the basket gets big and a player can't miss," Monroe coach Tony Vasquez said. "It was just one of those nights when every one of their shots caught the corner and went in and we couldn't buy a goal."

Monroe junior Taylor Teasdale returned, but the Cheesemakers played without sophomore Kevin Noriega.

Vasquez said Noriega missed the game because of sore wisdom teeth.

"It was just a slow start," he said. "I haven't seen them fall apart like that in a long time. They played better in the second half. It's hard to come back when you get down like that."

Monroe senior Jesse Keizer put the Cheesemakers on the board with a goal at 62:05. Fellow senior Corey Flannery scored a goal at 73:30 to cap the scoring.

Monroe senior Lucas Koch had four saves.

Sugar River 3, Wisconsin Dells 1

BELLEVILLE - Sugar River's Mitchell DeLorme scored three goals to propel the Raiders to a win Tuesday.

DeLorme scored his first goal at 1:35 on an assist from Travis Loeffelholz. Sugar River senior Justin Stadelman had two assists.

Sugar River will host Portage-Poynette on Thursday.
