Vikings sweep in Dodgeland

JUNEAU — Parkview-Albany adds two more to the win column after the defeating Dodgeland and Deerfield at the Dodgeland quadrangular on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

In their first dual, the Vikings defeated the Warriors 60-24. Parkview-Albany received 30 points from forfeit, while giving up 12 points to forfeits. The remaining wins came from pins.

Danny Finley (126) opened with a pin of Hayden Frazer. After two forfeits — one each for Deerfield and Parkview-Albany — Evan Suer (145) pinned Bryce Casteel. Nicolas Zamora followed (152) suit with a pin of Joseph Treinen. After a loss at 160, Sean Morales (170) rebounded with a pin of Jaden Bethel. 

The next three forfeits favored the Vikings. After a loss at 106, Blake Finely (113) closed out the dual with a pin of Gavin Alich.

In the nightcap, the Vikings clobbered the Trojans 68-6. The only points Dodgeland received were from a forfeit at 132. Conversely, Parkview-Albany received five forfeits for 30 points, again.

Ian Suer (138), Wyatt Egan (195), Blake Finley, Danny Finley and Morales pinned their opponents, while Evan Suer won by a 16-1 tech fall. The final three points for the Vikings came from Jean-Luc Cramer’s (152) 13-7 decision.
