NEW GLARUS — The Redbirds rallied in the second half to beat New Glarus 81-73 in a nonconference affair Jan. 27.
The Glarner Knights led 33-25 at halftime, but Darlington out-scored its host 56-40 in the second half.
“We just didn’t have a lot of energy in the first half. We just kind of flat,” Darlington coach Tom Uppena said.
Zeke Zuberbuhler’s 28 points, nine rebounds and three steals sparked Darlington, which had five players in double figures: Broker Buschor (18), Dante Glendenning (12), Ryder
Fitzsimons (11) and Grady O’Brien (10). O’Brien also had nine rebounds, while Buschor tallied eight rebounds, seven steals and five assists.
“We just gotta make better decisions with the ball,” New Glarus coach Travis Sysko said.
Nolan Julseth led the Knights with 22 points, Breckyn Thompson scored 15 and Clayton Streiff added 11.
