Peggy L. Affolter, age 77, of Fountain Hills, Arizona, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 9, 2026. Born on May 20, 1948, in Monroe, Wisconsin, the daughter of Richard Wyss, Sr. and Margaret (Anderegg) Wyss of Monroe. She graduated from Juda High School in 1966. Peggy resided in several communities including Monroe, Portage, and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; and Fountain Hills, Arizona, where she spent her later years.

Peggy was, above all else, a devoted mother and grandmother. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to the raising of her three sons. An excellent cook and homemaker, she also loved gardening and attended to her outdoor plants and flowers with ever-loving care.

Peggy was employed several years by the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce, among many roles, she managed the Annual Fountain Hills Art Festival, a significant cultural event that draws artists and visitors from across the southwest. Later, Peggy devoted many years to the service of Fountain Hills’ elder residents, providing friendship,transportation to medical appointments or errands and offering practical assistance in their homes.

Peggy is survived by her parents and three sons: Mark Affolter of New York, New York; Thomas Affolter and his wife Paula (Klein) of Chicago, Illinois; and Kim Affolter and his wife Sarah (Seidel) of Tonka Bay, Minnesota. She is also survived by her six beloved grandchildren who knew her as Nana, Alexia (22), Audrey (22), William (22), Benjamin (22), Nathan (21), Emily (20), and Abby (19) Affolter; her brother Jeffery Wyss and his wife Linda; her brother Richard Wyss, Jr. and his wife Jackie; and her many cherished cousins and friends.

Burial services for the immediate family will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. A public memorial and celebration of life will be held at Turner Hall, Monroe, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18. Condolences may be shared at www.newcomerfuneralhome.net
