Christen L. Schmid, 71, of Somerset, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026. He is a son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Blum) Schmid. Chris is also preceded in death by his wife, Mona (Pletcher) Schmid and brothers, Robert "Bud", John, Ralph, Leland and William Schmid. He is survived by sister, Karen Zeigler; brothers, Stanley, Mark, Roy and Gary Schmid; uncle, Hank Schmid; and step-children, James and Lisa King. Chris owned and operated Schmid Trucking for many years. He will be greatly missed by all. At Chris's request there will be no service. Arrangements by MILLER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY of Somerset.
