MONROE — The Cheesemakers were blanked by Sauk Prairie 3-0 in a Badger West game on May 13.
Henry Brukwicki took the loss on the hill, striking out 10 while allowing two runs on six hits and a walk in 6.1 innings. Brevin Rach got the final two outs of the seventh, letting up a run in the process.
Quinn Baier took the win on the mound for the Eagles, pitching all seven innings, allowing three hits and a walk with 10 strikeouts.
Highland 6, Argyle 4
HIGHLAND — Alex Gilbertson, Max Godfrey and Buddy Gerber each had two hits for Argyle, but the Orioles couldn’t muster up the offense to take down the Cardinals in a Six Rivers crossover May 12.
Godfrey tossed five innings on the mound, striking out eight and giving up two runs. Brady Penniston came on in relief and allowed three of Highland’s four runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Orioles led 3-2 entering the frame.
Brodhead-Juda 6, East Troy 1
EAST TROY — The Cardinals got three hits at the plate from Brady Malkow, who dazzled once again on the mound, striking out seven and allowing a single unearned run on four hits and zero walks in 6 innings of work.
Mason Kammerer tossed a scoreless seventh to finish off the victory for Brodhead-Juda. David Mazloski had a hit, two walks and drove in two runs.
Darlington 15, Black Hawk 2
DARLINGTON — The Redbirds scored a mercy-rule win May 12 over Black Hawk.
Barrett Vieth was 2-for-3 with a homer and four RBIs in the 6-spot for Darlington. Carson Mosley also had two hits for the Redbirds. Brady Horne, Breylin Goebel and Levi Carter each doubled.
Mosley and James Ackley pitched two innings each for the Redbirds, with Ackley striking out three batters. Riggs Black allowed two unearned runs and struck out two in an inning of work.
Cuba City 14, Darlington 5
DARLINGTON — Goebel had two hits, including a double, and Braden Davis was 1-for-3 with a walk, a run and two RBIs for the Redbirds in a SWAL loss May 13.
Blake Bussan homered for the Cubans, which finished the game with seven extra base hits. Three Redbirds pitched. Seven of the 14 runs they allowed were earned.
New Glarus 3, Cambridge 1
NEW GLARUS — Easton Dreyfus was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Jake Roth hit a double as the Glarner Knights staved off the Bluejays for a Capitol South victory May 13.
Eli Zimmerman labored through four innings, tossing 104 pitches while allowing three hits and seven walks. However, he struck out 10 and only allowed one runner to cross the plate. Leyton Mihlbauer tossed a clean fifth inning.
