MINERAL POINT — Alex Atwell scored 31 of the Knight’s 59 points, as New Glarus rolled to a 59-40 victory over Mineral Point on Monday, Dec. 19.
Aside from Atwell, Grace Nommensen also scored in double figures with 14 points. All of the Knights points occurred inside the arc.
ALBANY 66, JUDA 11
ALBANY — The Comets remain atop the Six Rivers East with its third conference win and tenth overall on Tuesday, Dec. 20.
Derik Doescher’s squad had three players in double figures, with a team-leading 15 from Alana Durtschi. Abby Hollis trailed with 14, while Gracie Freitag recorded 11. The Comet’s four 3-pointers came from four different players: Hollis, Durtschi, McKenna Broughton and Avary Briggs.
The Panthers had five different players score. Marta Esalero led with the lone 3-pointer, followed by Ciarrah Davis, Alexxis Metz, Lavinia Rufer and Jackie Nusbaum with two points each. Juda scored just two points in all the second half.
PECATONICA 57, MONTICELLO 50
BLANCHARDVILLE — Chloe Schraepfer and Dalana Trumpy went point-for-point in a Six Rivers East Conference showdown on Tuesday, Dec. 20, but the Vikings came out on top.
Schraepfer totaled 21 points with three 3-pointers. Anna Tisch also scored in double figures with 12 points and two 3-pointers. The remaining basket from beyond the arc came from Maddie Hirsch.
Trumpy mirrored Schraepfers performance precisely, also making three shots beyond the arc. Molly Olson was the second highest scorer with 10 points, six of which came from beyond the arc. Jaden Zuber totaled eight points with two threes.
BRODHEAD 66, WHITEWATER 32
BRODHEAD — The Cardinals doubled up the Whippets in their basketball game on Tuesday, Dec. 20.
Alecia Dahl led the team with 21 points, 19 of which came in the second half. Taetum Hoesly and Abbie Dix chipped in 14 points each, both making five shots from inside the arc with four free throws.
MOUNT HOREB 69, MONROE 21
MOUNT HOREB — The Cheesemakers are still searching for their first win of the season after a road loss on Monday, Dec. 19.
Abbey Matley totaled eight points to lead Monroe, followed by Sydnee Conway with five. Allison Wunschel, Lindsay Leuzinger, Brinley Roidt and Anastasia Lattin each scored two points.
In other girls basketball action, Darlington defeated Iowa-Grant 62-32.
