Monroe 5th at Evansville, New Glarus 9th

EVANSVILLE — The Monroe Cheesemakers finished fifth at the April 24 Evansville Invitational. The Cheesemakers were led by senior Brock Brandli who placed sixth overall with an 80.

The New Glarus Glarner Knights were ninth with a 354. The Knights were led by junior Kofi Belknap, who had three birdies and shot an 84. Senior Isaac Ingwell also shot an 84.

The Brodhead Cardinals shot a 478 and finished in 16th place. Leading the way for Brodhead was senior Aidan Haegele with a 104.

RVC Mini-Meets #3 & #4

The Brodhead Cardinals finished in sixth place after shooting a 197 at the Rock Valley Conference mini-meet #4 at Bass Creek Golf Course at Footville on April 27.

Senior Maddax McGinty led the Cardinals with a 48, good for 24th place overall.

Haegele and junior Avery Rufer each shot a 49 and placed 25th. Sophomore Aiden Arn and junior Josiah Blum were next as they each shot a 51 to place 28th.

Edgerton won the meet with a 144. Edgerton’s Owen Wagie was the medalist with a 33.

Four days earlier, Brodhead was sixth at another RVC Mini-Meet with a 208 at Prairie Woods Golf Course.

Junior Wyat Keyser shot a 50, Haegele shot a 51, Blum fired a 53, Rufer carded a 54, and McGinty had a 56.

Edgerton won the meet with a 150 and the medalist was senior Owen Wagie of Edgerton with a 34.

Next for Brodhead is the Beloit Invitational at Krueger-Haskell Golf Course on Friday, May 1.

Capitol Conference Mini-Meet at Jefferson Golf Course

The New Glarus Glarner Knights placed seventh with a 188 at the Capitol Conference Mini-Meet hosted by Lakeside Lutheran at Jefferson Golf Course on Thursday, April 23. The top golfer for New Glarus was sophomore Kellen Martinson, who placed 10th with a 41.

Senior Isaac Ingwell shot a 45, junior Kofi Belknap and freshman Braden Goodness each had a 51, and senior Nick Sonntag fired a 57.

Monticello-Belleville had a 143 with senior Jackson Scholey the leader with a 45.

SWAL Mini-Meet #2 at Hickory Grove Golf Course

Argyle-Pecatonica took third place with a 170 at the SWAL Mini-Meet #2 at Fennimore on Friday, April 24. AP was led by junior Avari Steiner with a 39, good for fourth place overall. Senior Cohlman Schlimgen was seventh with a 40. Sophomore Tucker Bethke fired a 45, junior Blake Ferrell had a 46, and senior Caleb Mckenna had a 55.

Darlington finished in fifth place with a 187. The top golfer for the Redbirds was junior Kaleb King with a 44. Sophomore Tavin Brunkow was next with a 45. Senior Blaze White fired a 48. Senior Alex Fox shot a 50 and senior Broker Buschor had a 53.

Cuba City/Benton/Southwestern won the meet with a 159. The medalist was Drew Aschliman with a 36.

Dick McKichan Platteville Invitational

Argyle-Pecatonica took eighth place with a 365 at the Dick McKichan Platteville Invitational on Saturday, April 25. Steiner tied for fourth place overall with a 79. Schlimgen defended his title from last year winning the Long Drive Contest for the second straight year.

Darlington was 13th with a 398. The top golfer for the Redbirds was sophomore Alex Stauffacher with a 96.

Mount Horeb won the invitational with a 330. The medalist was Brady Mack of Lancaster with a 73.
