Level 4 Gems take second at state meet

MONROE - The Green County Gems Level 4 gymnastics team finished second place at the state meet last weekend in Marinette.

The Level 4 gymnasts placed second out of 17 teams and were just 0.10 of a point away from state champion Heart of the Valley YMCA.

Rae Tuebert, a Level 4 gymnast for the Gems, finished first on the uneven bars, first on the beam and first in the all-around competition. She also took second in the vault.

Makayla Phillips, Level 4, finished first on the bars and second on the beam and all-around. She added a third place on the floor.

Baylie Engels, Level 4, finished first on the beam, second on the bars and third all-around.

In the Level 3 competition, Kaylea Paulson took first on the beam and second on the bars. She finished third in the all-around competition.

Jordan Hirsbrunner, a Level 5 gymnast, finished second in the all-around and third in the vault. She added a fourth-place finish on the floor.

Casey Rielly, Level 5, took third on the bars.

Tre Voegeli finished second in the vault in the Level 7 state meet.

Josie Eberle, Level 7, took fourth on the bars.

In the Level 8 state meet, Maria Eberle finished second on the vault.
