BRODHEAD - The Brodhead-Juda boys cross country team took second place at the Brodhead Invitational on Thursday, Aug. 27, while the girls team finished third.
Daniel Drewes finished second in the boys race with a time of 18 minutes, 2 seconds. Tate Harnack and Nate Beushel took ninth and 10th place, finishing with times of 18:51 and 19:06, respectively.
Kyle Lockhart (19:34) was 14th, Brent Baxter (19:50) 16th, J.J. Panoske (20:07) 17th and Carter Jorgenson (20:12) 18th.
On the girls side, Erin Kettle took fourth place with a time of 18:28.
Jenny Jackson (19:05) and Mandy Kopp (19:06) finished 12th and 13th and Megan Ball was 15th (19:15). Rachel Nolte (20:54), Anne Hamel (20:58), and Sianne Strommen (21:19) finished 25th, 26th, and 30th, respectively, for the Cardinals.
Madison Edgewood won the girls race with a score of 40. Beloit Turner won the boys race with a score of 37.
