STOUGHTON - The Monroe-New Glarus girls swimming team finished eighth place at the Stoughton Relays Tuesday.

McFarland won the Stoughton Relays with 164 points. Monroe-New Glarus finished with 58 points. The Cheesemakers finished third place in the 200-yard breaststroke/butterfly relay. The relay team included Grace Moehn, Anna Wolf, Maddie Hammer and Abby Oudinot; they took third place with a time of 2 minutes, 15.33 seconds.

"We had several good finishes tonight, but with 13 swimmers we are not able to fill all 12 events which makes a difference in the final scores," Monroe-New Glarus coach Linda Moser said. "It is always a great meet to see what is out there in our Badger South Conference and it is fun for the girls because it is something different from the ordinary 11 event meets."

Monroe-New Glarus' 100-yard relay team of Mary Kelly, MacKenzie Hesgard, Monica Sefcik and Anna Meritt finished fourth place.

The Cheesemakers' 400 medley relay team of Reagan Anderson, Oudinot, Wolf and Hammer took fifth place.
