In the second, Vinny Mazzarisi ran it in from 10 yards out with 10:06 to play in the half to put Brodhead up 20-0. Six minutes later, Palmyra-Eagle got on the board in hopes of keeping the game within striking distance. Quarterback Chris McMillan scored on a 2-yard keeper with 4:23 to play in the second.
Brodhead came right down the field, though, and Douglas pounded in his third score of the game from three yards out with 1:43 left in the half to boost the Cardinal lead to 26-7.
Late in the third, tight end Garrett Fisher caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Brodhead QB Beau Benner. Benner finished the night going 7-for-9 with 80 yards in the air, 28 of which to Fisher, who had two catches. Douglas finished the game with 172 yards on 15 carries, including three scores.
