Junior Brendan Pittman got the only two hits of the game for the Knights off Columbus starting pitcher Graham Fagerburg.
New Glarus pitchers Brandon Gerber and Nick Stuessy kept the Glarner Knights in the game by giving up just three runs through five innings, but the Cardinals struck for six runs over the final two innings to seal the win.
New Glarus (3-7, 2-4 Capitol South) will travel to Belleville Tuesday.
