Of West Bend

Passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2022, at the age of 83. Loving husband of Bonnie for 53 years. Beloved father of Brett (Noel) Falk, Melissa (Rich) Sepka and Elizabeth (Scott) Krajcir. Grandfather of Peter, Henry, Jacob, Jackson, Lexi and Tanner. He is survived by his siblings: Bob, Hazel, Alice, Carol and Ken. Further survived by many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Luella and his brother, Ted.

Wesley grew up in a farm family in Green County as one of seven children. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1956. He obtained a B.S. in Agriculture from UW-Madison. He also participated in ROTC. After college he served as an Army Aviator for three years.

He then felt a call to the ministry and attended Ev. Theological Seminary in Naperville, IL. He served many EV United Brethren churches, including Princeton, Racine First and Milwaukee Good Hope. After the merger, Wes served UMC churches, including Sheboygan Fountain Park, Neenah First and Menomonee Falls Emmanuel Community. He also served 6 years in the NE district as a superintendent.

After retiring 20 years ago, he continued to serve by fundraising for the seminary and by acting as a visiting pastor in West Bend.

Wesley was a world traveler. Some of his travels included mission work in India, England and Honduras. Wesley and his family also hosted foreign students through the American Field Service (AFS), each for one year, including Hugo from Argentina, Allyson from South Africa and Marriet from Finland. 

Visitation will be held at Emmanuel Community United Methodist Church, N84W16707 Menomonee Ave., Menomonee Falls, on Monday, June 20, 2022, from 12:15 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. Funeral Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial will take place at Salem Cemetery in Lomira, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to United Methodist Committee on Relief or Camp Lucerne are appreciated.
