Steven Wayne Wirth, age 66 of Monroe, died Friday, December 18, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 28, 1954 in Monroe, the son of John and Edna (Streit) Wirth. He graduated from Monticello High School and MATC, with a Degree in Business and a Journeyman in Tool and Die making. Steven married Susan E. Morse in 1999 at Monroe United Methodist Church. He enjoyed remodeling homes, hunting and fishing. Steven and his wife were partners in a fitness club in New Glarus for several years; he also was a partner in Cork Down Saloon and Campground with his nephew, Mike (Angie) Wirth.

He is survived by his wife, Susan of Monroe; children: Kinley (Kristin) Fish of Bloom City, WI, Nicki (Mike Wirtz) Harding of Monticello, Derrick (Sarah) Fish of Monroe, and Katrina (Craig) Foster of Monticello; 9 grandchildren; siblings: John (Doe Roth) Wirth Jr of Monticello, David Wirth of Monticello, Sue (Brent) Stauffer of Monticello, James Wirth of Ft. Atkinson, WI, and Duane (Jori) Wirth of Monticello; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Destiny; brother, Ronald Wirth.

Private funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Burial will be in Washington Reformation Church Cemetery. A Public visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. A memorial fund will be set up for Monroe Clinic Hospice or Parkinson’s research.
