Roger L. Wyss passed away peacefully surrounded by family at home on Sunday, December 11, 2022. Roger was born on April 30, 1937 to Walter and Mary (Redman) Wyss. Roger graduated from Monroe High School in 1954. After high school he continued to work on the family farm, Roger’s years on the farm helped his family reach 100 consecutive years farming their land; and his sons are continuing the tradition.
Roger was joined in marriage to Diane E. McGinley in April 1963. Even though parting ways after 27 years of marriage, Diane remained a lifetime friend and confidant.
Roger enjoyed snowmobiling with friends and his sons. He also loved helping with the local FFA and Pioneer 4-H chapter at the Green County and State Fairs, as well as watching old western movies. Most of all he enjoyed spending time together with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his three sons, Craig (Carrie Carter) Wyss, Kurt (Donna) Wyss, Kevin (Teri Benson) Wyss, and daughter, Kim (Ron Bechtolt) Wyss; grandchildren, Chelsea (Brandon) Wilson, Alexa (Griffen Day) Wyss, Kaitlyn (Adam Foster) Wyss, Ryan (Hannah) Bechtolt, and Kristen (Christen) Ruf; great-grandsons, Reggie and Cason; great-granddaughters, Sadie, Laine, and Sutton; brother, Dave Wyss; sister, Carol Ferguson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A special thank you to Rhonda, Bonnie and the Hospice nurses that helped with Dad’s care.
No services will be held, per Roger’s request.
