Margie danced her way into heaven on January 21st, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 9, 1959, in Waynesville, MO to Ruth (Powers) and Henry (Hank) Soto, moving quickly to North Platte, NE, her hometown for many years. Margie lived in a lot of states and loved people, working mostly at restaurants such as Merrick’s Restaurant in Nebraska and at Bonnie’s in Monroe.
After surviving a stroke at 31, Margie became an advocate and voice for those less fortunate or disabled people. She never let that chair hold her back. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, a volunteer for the Green County Habitat for Humanity and local Humane Society’s. She enjoyed photography, gardening, writing poetry and to many pen-pals, drawing, and was an enthusiastic Angel Collector (over 200). Margie cherished spending time with family, especially her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Margie married the love of her life Robert (Bob) Kupersmith on May 27th, 1990. Margie is survived by her devoted Husband, Bob of Monroe; Children, Natasha Kupersmith of Monroe, Tabitha (Ryan) Mellenberger of Browntown, and Natalie (Ryan) Colden of Janesville; Grandchildren Rylee, Dalton, McKaylie, Olivia, Kuper, and Nova; Sister, Mary Johnson of Wyoming, and her Best Friend Nancy Blackwood. Margie was reunited in death with her parents, two sisters Betty Peterson and Judy Sterns, her Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles.
We invite you to share stories, laughs and memories of Margie at her visitation on Thursday, February 1st starting 4:30 pm and ending around 6:30 pm. You can also join on Friday, February 2nd, when we will have more time for sharing starting at 10 am, with a Celebration of Life Service to start at 11 am and a luncheon to follow.
