Jeffrey John Surrell “Egor”, age 53, of Monroe passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born the son of John and Carol (Tourdot) Surrell on January 26, 1967 in Monroe. Jeff was a 1985 graduate of Monroe High School, he also attended Blackhawk Technical College.

Jeff owned Egor’s Lawn Service; he not only took care of lawns in the summer but he also provided snow removal in the winter. He had also previously worked at Farm and Fleet in Monroe, and had many other jobs working on motors and lawnmowers, which he loved.

Jeff is survived by numerous friends and family, on both the Surrell and Tourdot sides of the family. He was well loved, always had a smile on his face and a friendly word for everyone he saw. He loved seeing family, and always had a good story to tell when coming to a family gathering. Jeff loved nothing like he loved lawnmower racing, and had high hopes for the next racing season, with plans to be involved.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Timothy Joe Surrell; brother, John Edward Surrell, died at birth, and sister, Anna Elizabeth Surrell, died at birth.

A Celebration of Jeff’s Life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Jeff Ditzenberger officiating.  Friends may gather from 9AM on Saturday, April 10th until the time of service, at the funeral home. Burial will take place following service at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Dayton Township.
