Countdown to this year’s LAUNCH
Cara Carper

Please join our LAUNCH students on Wednesday, May 20 in the M-Room at Monroe High School from 4-5:30 p.m. for the 2025-26 final LAUNCH Project Showcase! Students will be presenting what they have learned throughout the year in LAUNCH and specifically about their third trimester projects. Each student team will have a table with information about their most recent project. Those who attend will be able to move from table to table to learn more about student projects and ask questions.

Students are eager to show the work they have done to solve problems for local businesses and organizations and discuss the skills they have learned to successfully complete their projects.

Thank you to all of the businesses and organizations that have worked with our LAUNCH students over the past school year! This trimester, student projects included:

Applied Manufacturing & Entrepreneurship

Our Applied Manufacturing & Entrepreneurship students created projects for various customers including the Green County Fairgrounds, Monroe District Administrative Center, Monroe High School and other private customers.

Skilled Building Trades

The Skilled Building Trades students have been using their skills to build a home on land donated by the City of Monroe to Green County Development Corporation (GCDC) as part of the Home Construction Cooperative program. GCDC hosted an Open House on May 11 to thank supporters and highlight the newly-completed house. They are also assisting with the Green County Habitat for Humanity home build in Monroe.
