MONROE — SSM Health Monroe Hospital RN Brady Beuschel was recently surprised with a DAISY Award for going above and beyond to support a family navigating complex medical challenges.
Brady was nominated by the loved one of a patient. They shared:
“My loved one often feels very sick and requires treatment in the Emergency Room. Going to the emergency room is something that they truly dread, but it is often the only way they can start feeling better.
They have always received good care at SSM Health, but Brady is a team member who stands out in a special way. He doesn’t just see their condition – he cares for them a person. He listens to concerns, takes time to understand how they’re truly feeling, and treats them with genuine kindness and respect.
In moments when they feel scared, exhausted, and frustrated, Brady’s compassion and patience make the overwhelming situation feel a little more manageable. It means so much to me to know that when my loved one is at their most vulnerable, they are in the hands of someone who truly cares.
Our family is grateful for the compassion, dedication, and humanity Brady brings to his work every day. He embodies what exceptional nursing care should be.”
The DAISY Foundation was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, a young man who died from an autoimmune disease. Brady’s truly compassionate care and clinical excellence is at the heart of the DAISY Award and supports SSM Health’s Mission.
