Glenn D. Bunker, age 86, of Monroe formally of Winslow, IL passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2022 at the William S Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison. He was born the son of Donald Sr. and Alethia (Martin) Bunker on May 29, 1936 in Stockton, IL. He attended Winslow Schools.
Glenn proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Nancy Neuenschwander on June 20, 1958 at the Orangeville Methodist Church in Orangeville, IL.
Glenn worked at Advance Transformer, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed all outdoor activities including camping, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed reading old westerns and going to the casino.
Glenn is survived by his children, Cindy (Allen) Walters of Monroe, Michael Bunker of Monroe, and Sue Muszynski of Monroe; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Dorothy) Bunker of Winslow, IL; sister Darlene (Donald) Potter of Winslow, IL; and goddaughter, Dionette Almeida.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy; sister, Donna Springer; and a brother and sister in infancy.
A funeral service will be held at Noon on July 5, 2022 at SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Cernek officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.
