David Laverne Elmer age 64 of Brooklyn WI. passed away on Thursday March 5, 2020 from a massive heart attack. His proud parents welcomed him in the world on April 16, 1955.
David grew up on his parent’s dairy farm until 1992. He then started his paint and restoration of antique tractors and anything else that needed painting. He attended Albany High School where he met his soulmate Susan Weeden and they were married April 28, 1973. They raised three children together; Ginny (Rob) Rowley, Joseph Elmer, Joanna "Jo Jo" who preceded him in death on July 3, 2018 from Cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife Susan, his loving children Ginny and Joe, His five grandchildren who he loved dearly; Adam and Emily Rowley, Michael Ace, Ethon Berg and Chloe Elmer, a sister Mary (Mark) Toberman, sister-in-law; Darlene Elmer, brothers-in-law; Randy and Rodney (Anita) Weeden, his aunt; Gloria Glass, special friends; Arlon "Bro" Spaeth, Bob Anderson, Ron Powers and Kenny Henningson, and so so many more.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alvin Sr. and Helen Elmer, brother; Alvin Jr., infant sister and brother Nancy and Dale Elmer, his father and mother-in-law; Bob and Louise Weeden, brothers-in-law; Bobby Weeden, Ronnie Weeden, Rick Weeden.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday March 14, 2020 at Ward-Hurtley funeral Home Evansville with Reverend Mary Gafner officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
