Carol Rose Moser
Carol Rose Moser

Carol Rose Moser, age 92, passed away on April 26, 2026, while surrounded by her family.

Carol was born on June 2, 1933, in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Ralph and Wilma (Norder) Kundert. She attended Monroe High School and graduated in 1951. She was united in marriage to William Peter Moser on April 24, 1954, at the Union Presbyterian Church in Monroe, WI.

Carol and William farmed on the Moser family farm, a century farm, in Exeter Township, for many years. Carol also worked at the Green County Circuit Court Clerk’s office in Monroe, enjoying her time there, prior to her retirement. Carol and William both drove the school bus for the Monticello School District, enjoying the interaction with the many children they transported to and from school or to and from athletic events. Carol was a longtime member of the Zwingli United Church of Christ, serving the church in many areas.

Carol enjoyed traveling with her husband, as they were able to see all 50 states, and travel internationally to countries including Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and Canada. She and William lived a life of adventure, including whitewater rafting, hot air balloon rides, an airplane ride in the Grand Canyon, riding a jet boat ferry from Maine to Nova Scotia, and a visit to Pearl Harbor. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and was an avid baker, decorating her custom cakes for friends and family. She and William played scrabble and loved puzzles. Carol was a second mother to her granddaughters, Megan and Sydnee, and always welcomed them for Sunday suppers at their home on the farm. Carol was a selfless, kind, beautiful soul, with a quick wit, and was always willing to help any in need. She will be so very missed by all who loved her.

Carol is survived by her two children, Jane (Dave) Moser-Cox and Michael W. Moser; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Patricia Isely and Marion (Tom) Best; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; one child, David; two sisters, Joan and Barbara; a sister-in-law, Marion (Lyle) Sinnett; and brothers-in-law, Raymond Rupnow and Nathan Isely.

Thank you to all those who contributed to her care in the New Glarus and Pleasant View Nursing Homes. The kindness and love shown to her was incredibly heartfelt.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be directed to the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello, WI.

Funeral services will be held at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 E. Lake Avenue in Monticello, on Friday, June 19, at 12:00 p.m., with Reverend Peter Strobel officiating.
