Bruce Robert Ames, age 71, of Albany passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Albany Oaks Assisted Living. He was born the son of Robert and Charlotte (Zimmerman) on February 22, 1951 in Marquette, MI. Bruce was united in marriage to Charlene (Lyne) Wiegel Ames on January 4, 1992 in Darlington. 

Bruce worked at Advance Transformers in Monroe for 23 years. He was a former member of the Apparitions MC, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle when he was younger. He also loved going fishing, camping and bowling; he and Charlene bowled together on a league for many years. 

Bruce is survived by his children, Travis (Barb) Wiegel, Troy (Missy) Wiegel, Tonia (Tim) Williams, and Tianna (Mike) Colvin; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his brother, Jeff (Mary) Ames; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Charlene; and sister, Sue Delverg.

Bruce’s family would like to extend a special Thank You to all of the staff at Albany Oaks, for their loving care for the past three years. Thank you for dealing with his bad moods and laughing at his (at times) stupid jokes; but mostly thank you for being by his side at the very end.
