Alan K. Prien, age 50, of Monroe passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.  He was born on July 25, 1973 the son of Gordon and Diana (Elmer) Prien.  He graduated from Monroe High School, where he was involved in the FFA and a member of the capstone class of 1992.  Al married Angel Bennett on October 4, 1997, together they had 8 children. 

Al owned and operator AKP Concrete.  Al will be remembered as a true jack of all trades. He also enjoyed having a hobby farm for a few years.  Alan was a hardworking man who took pride in taking care of his family.  He appreciated the many friendships he made with employees and fellow tradesman.  His greatest joy came from spending time with his children and his many friends.    

Al is survived by his spouse, Angel; mother, Diana Prien; children, Nicole Prien, Riley (Morgan Mitchell) Prien, Michelle Prien, Weston Prien, Sarah Prien, Quinn Prien, and Easton Prien; and siblings, Janis (David) King, Carolyn (Randy) Williams, and Keith (Laurie) Prien.

He was preceded in death by his father; and son, Alan Prien Jr. in infancy. 

A Celebration of Al’s Life will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Koning Maple Lane Event Center from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a short time of remembrance and sharing stories starting at 5:00 PM.
