On April 30:

● At 8:53 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with reported injuries at 21st Street and 9th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Austin J. Dezort, 26, of Monroe, was northbound on 9th Avenue, entered the intersection with 21st Street and collided with a vehicle which was eastbound on 21st Street, operated by a 19-year-old Monroe man. The 19-year-old Monroe man reported injuries and was looked at by EMS but declined transport. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed. Dezort was arrested on charges of operating without a valid driver’s license-2nd offense and obstructing an officer. Dezort was also cited for failure to stop for a stop sign,non-registration of a motor vehicle, and no vehicle insurance. Dezort was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On May 1:

● At 8:05 a.m., officers were called to a business in the 700 block of 21st Street for a theft complaint. The investigation led to the arrest of Johnny M. Reyes,47, of Freeport, Il, on a charge of theft. Reyes was booked and released pending a court appearance. 

● At 6:07 p.m., officers were called to a report of an assault that had occurred at a business in the 2300 block of 6th Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of Sonya M. Baugus, 35, of Monroe, on charges of disorderly conduct while armed, physical abuse of an elder person and bail jumping due to a violation of bail conditions from a prior charge. Baugus was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. 

On May 3:

● At 2:25 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of 13th Street for a report of a fight in progress. Investigation into the incident resulted in Ayinde M Oston,43, of Monroe, being arrested for battery and disorderly conduct. Oston was also placed on a probation hold from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Oston was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
