David Lee Buol
DEATH NOTICE

David, born on September 20th 1955, arrived in heaven February 18th 2026, at the age of 70. His legacy will be remembered by the many lives he blessed. He had a bountiful love for Jesus, and displayed love and care whenever he could. He lived a humble life of prayer, and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Monroe, Wisconsin.

David was a rugged man with a big heart filled with dreams of grandeur. He had an affinity for exploration, sharing stories of his journeys out west, and dreams of prospecting for gold. He loved being with nature, spending his free time hunting, fishing, and tending plants. Often, David would express how he wanted to move out west someday, in hopes to relive the freedom he felt gazing upon vast swaths of land shrouded by mountainous terrain as far as the eye can see.

Not only did David have a cavalier-esque spirit, but so did his extra set of legs. Whether on the hide of an Appaloosa, or the leather seat of a two wheeled V-twin. For many years, he rode with various biker groups of southern Wisconsin. David owned various bikes over the years, usually Hondas and Yamahas, but his favorites were Harley Davidsons. He finally acquired one of his own, a custom ‘09 Sportster 1200 in metallic candy apple red with black flames before retiring in 2015. His first cherished ride was a ‘71 Plymouth Duster with a 340.

David has a fantastic taste of 20th century culture. Some of his favorite media was westerns, civil war, and Native American history movies, owning a collection that would take years to watch. John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, and Robert Duvall being a few of his favorite actors. His choice of music was stellar, AC/DC, Metallica, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristopherson, Steppenwolf, Creedence Clearwater Revival , Bachman Turner Overdrive. In his youth, he even once had a chance to share a toke with the lead singer of Cheap Trick on his birthday. David’s choice of cigarettes was mellow Marlboros.

David was a blue collar man, often seen donning Green Bay Packers attire or plaid paired with blue jeans. He’d make his own cut-off shirts to show off his guns, and if the aviators came out, you knew he meant business. His go to cologne was English Leather for when he dressed to impress. He was a dedicated worker who invested many years between the Browntown foundry and the Monroe High School, as well as many other job sites in the Green County area.

David was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Buol Sr., mother Paulina Roenneburg, stepfather Allen Roenneburg, sister Dawn Rogers, and brother Cliff Buol. He is survived by his children, Darren Deblack of Oconomowoc, Deanndra Deblack of Monroe, Jennifer Buol of Merrillan, and Grant (Devyn) Buol of Dubuque, IA; grandchildren Max, Jase, and Andrew, Aiden, Atlas, Iris, and Lily; siblings, Willie Buol of Baraboo, Dennis (Sandy) Buol, Andy (Deb) Buol, and Jim (Gayle) Buol, of Monroe; Mary Walters of Platteville; Barb (Don) Yackley and Diana Gardner, of Fort Wayne, IN; Deb (Al) Spencer of Naperville, IL; Jeff (Ramona) Buol and Randy (Jennifer) Buol, of Cleveland, TN; Clay (Claire) Buol of Wilmington, NC, and Paula (Kelton) Rowe of Chattanooga, TN.
