Pecatonica 9, Shullsburg-Benton 1

Lead-off hitter Ashton McNett got two hits, including a double, drove in a run and scored two runs while Austin Enloe pitched six innings and allowed just one hit and struck out eight to carry the Pecatonica Vikings to a 9-1 win over Shullsburg-Benton in Six Rivers Conference baseball on Tuesday, May 26.

Luke Leonard and Kale Hendrickson each scored two runs as the Vikings won their fifth straight game to close the regular season.

Pecatonica scored two runs in the 3rd inning and added four runs in the 4th inning aided by a walk, two hit batters, two errors and a passed ball.

Pecatonica closed the regular season 13-8 overall and 10-6 in the Six Rivers. The Vikings are a No. 3 seed in the Division 4 playoffs had a first-round bye in the regional quarterfinal on Thursday, May 28 and played against Fall River or Monticello-Albany in the regional semifinal on Tuesday, June 2.

Iowa-Grant 16, Monticello-Albany 3

The Iowa-Grant Panthers got a 7-0 lead over the first two innings, then scored another seven runs in the fourth inning to smother the Monticello-Albany Space Stallions 16-3 in nonconference action on Tuesday, May 26 in the final game of the regular season.

The Space Stallions committed six errors which led to six unearned runs by the Panthers. Brodyn Bakken, Tyler Patchen, Hunter Grossen, and Milo Smith got the only hits in the game for MA.

Monticello-Albany is a No. 6 seed in the Division 4 playoffs and hosted Fall River, a No. 11 seed, in the regional quarterfinal on Thursday, May 28.

New Glarus 10, Evansville 0

Nolan Julseth hit a home run and a double and drove in three runs to lead the New Glarus Glarner Knights past the Evansville Blue Devils 10-0 in six innings in nonconference baseball on Tuesday, May 26.

Ashlin Mihlbauer hit a double and drove in three runs and Liam Crawford pitched a three-hit shutout to lift the Glarner Knights to the win to close the regular season.

New Glarus (13-8, 6-4 Capitol South) is a No. 6 seed in the Division 3 playoffs and hosted No. 11 seed Belleville in a regional quarterfinal on Thursday, May 28.
