NEW GLARUS — Kevin Parman has stepped down as girls basketball coach at New Glarus High School. Parman coached the Glarner Knights for six seasons with a record of 114-43, four conference titles, and three regional championships.
The New Glarus school board accepted Parman’s resignation and approved the hiring of Tyler Ballweg as the new head coach of the Glarner Knights’ girls basketball program on Monday May 18.
Parman said the time was right for him to step away and spend more time supporting his daughters, Ellie, a freshman and Kate, a junior.
This past season, Parman led New Glarus to a Capitol South Conference title with a record of 7-1 and overall record of 14-12.
