MONROE — The Monroe Chamber of Commerce & Industry invites the community to step into a lively Derby-style afternoon where community spirit meets festive fun at the scenic Wegmueller’s Farm. The Chamber Derby promises an energetic, dress-to-impress celebration filled with entertainment, interactive experiences, and opportunities to connect — all while supporting Monroe’s local business community.

“This is truly an event unlike anything else around,” said the Chamber’s Events Manager, Sandi Thomas. “We’ve created an experience with no speeches and no awards ceremony — just a lively, unforgettable evening filled with mint juleps, live horse races, and the kind of fun that brings friends and community together in a really special way.”

Set for Saturday, May 2 from 4 to 7 p.m., guests can expect an unforgettable afternoon that blends the excitement of the Kentucky Derby with a uniquely local twist.

The Derby Experience Guests will enjoy a full lineup of activities and entertainment, including:

● Live Mini-Horse Derby and Feature Horse Derby

● Live streaming of the Kentucky Derby

● Contests, photo moments, and Derby-inspired flair

● Music, mingling, and a vibrant party atmosphere

Food, Drinks & Entertainment Southern-inspired fare is included with each ticket, while a full-service bar will offer beer, wine, signature Derby cocktails, and mocktails for purchase. Live music from Downshift will keep the energy high throughout the evening, providing the perfect soundtrack as guests celebrate against the picturesque farm backdrop.
