BLANCHARDVILLE — Tickets are available for purchase to attend the 2nd Congressional District Convention, which is scheduled to be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at Blanchard Hall, 204 S. Main Street in Blanchardville. The convention — which is open to the public — will be a gathering of democratic officials, candidates and political activists. Blanchardville is situated on the corners of Dane, Green, Iowa and Lafayette Counties.

All three Democratic candidates running in the 17th Senate District — which encompasses Dane, Lafayette, Iowa, Green, and portions of Grant Counties — will be speaking at the convention (Corrine Hendrickson, Lisa White and Jenna Jacobson). Also invited to speak are U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan, Gov. Tony Evers, Lt. Gov. Sara Godlewski, AG Josh Kaul, 51st Assembly candidate Ben Gruber and gubernatorial candidates.

Advance tickets are for sale now that include admission and lunch, which starts at 11 a.m. Tickets sold at the door do not include lunch.
