MONROE - First National Bank and Trust and the Monroe Municipal Pool are sponsoring Mascot Day at the pool from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday.
Mascots expected to attend are Bernie Brewer, Snappy from the Beloit Snappers minor-league baseball team, Maynard the Mallard from the Madison Mallards of the Northwoods League, McGruff, Wedgie, Batman, Spiderman, Superwoman, the Pig from Piggly Wiggly, Woody from Toy Story, Ronald McDonald and many more.
Children can hang out with the mascots while swimming with friends and eat nachos and hot dogs. Games and tattoos will be available on the pool deck throughout the event, with a penny dive at 2 p.m.
