Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Tuesday:

• Deputies, Brooklyn Fire Department and Brooklyn EMS responded at 8:33 p.m. to the W1600 block of Mortensen Road in Brooklyn Township for a single vehicle crash with injuries. Reports indicate that Ryan C. Arndt, 20, Brooklyn, was westbound on Mortensen Road when he tried to avoid a group of deer in the roadway. Arndt struck one of the deer and lost control of his vehicle. As he entered the north gravel shoulder, Arndt over-corrected and re-entered the roadway where he began to slide sideways. The vehicle continued westbound where it entered the north ditch and overturned several times, coming to rest on its side. The vehicle sustained severe damage with no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Arndt suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Arndt was warned for failing to maintain control and having no proof of insurance.

• No injuries were reported after a car vs. deer crash that occurred at 10:01 p.m. in the N6000 block of County E in Albany Township. Reports indicate that Laurie L. Kuebli, 51, Albany, was traveling north on County E when a Kuebli hit a deer. The vehicle sustained moderate driver's side damage and was driven from the scene. Albany police assisted at the scene.

On Monday:

• No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle accident at 6:01 p.m. Monday in the W2800 block of County KS in Jefferson Township. Nicole M. Rackow, 30, Juda, was traveling eastbound on County KS when Robert D. Olsen, 76, Brodhead, completed a U-turn onto the eastbound lane of County KS behind Rackow. Olsen hit Rackow's vehicle in the rear driver's side, causing very minor damage. Rackow's vehicle was driven from the scene. Olsen's vehicle also received very minor front-end damage and was driven from the scene.





Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Michael J. Meyers, 41, Mount Horeb, reported at 2:23 a.m. Tuesday hitting a cow on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

On Monday:

• Michelle R. Daly, 42, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 8:55 p.m. on Wis. 81 in Darlington Township. No injuries were reported and the vehicle sustained moderate damage.

• A deputy responded to a report of a vehicle at 11:20 p.m. Reports indicate that the vehicle slid into the ditch on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township after attempting to pull to the side of the roadway due to heavy rain and winds. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was driven from the scene after a tow truck removed it from the ditch.
