Monroe Police

MONROE - One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 12:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of 23th Avenue and 16th Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Amy R. Robb, 41, Winslow, Ill., collided with a vehicle driven by Dave Chawla, 35, Chicago, Ill. Chawla was transported by Green County EMS to the Monroe Clinic emergency room for non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles received moderate damage.

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 7 a.m. Monday on Suburban Drive at Wisconsin 59, in the Town of Albany. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Darby D. Wright, 43, rural Albany, was westbound on Wis. 59 when he attempted to turn right onto Suburban Drive. Wright stated he swerved to avoid striking a snowplow and lost control on the ice-covered roadway. Wright struck two mailboxes located on Suburban Drive. The vehicle was not damaged and was driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - Ronald Sniff, 51, Darlington, reported striking a deer at about 6:30 p.m. Monday on County K in the Darlington township.
