Bradley D. Brausen, 16, rural Monroe, was cited following a traffic injuries causing injuries around 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 in the Town of Jefferson. According to the Green County Sheriff's Department, Brausen was speeding in a pickup truck on Blumer Road and was unable to stop for the T intersection, causing him to collide with the embankment at County K. The truck sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Brausen and his 14-year-old female passenger were not wearing seatbelts. Both were transported by EMS for treatment of injuries. Brausen was cited for unreasonable and imprudent speed, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to require a passenger to wear a seatbelt and operate a motor vehicle by a permittee without an authorized person. Brausen was released pending court.
