APPLE RIVER, Ill. - Thomas "Tom" B. Williams, age 45 of Monroe, WI, formally of Apple River, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 14, 2014, with family and friends by his side. He was born December 20, 1968 the son of Beverly and Agnes (Upmann) Williams. Tom participated in a number of school sports and was a 1987 graduate of Warren High School. He married Tracy Wand on June 22, 1996 at the Apple River United Methodist Church in Apple River. Tom worked at several places throughout his life including the farm of Bob and Judy Gates, Atwoods in Stockton, Warren Cheese Plant, and delivering newspapers. He was also a member of the Apple River Fire Department. His friends knew him as the biggest Chicago sports fan there was. Tom rooted for the Cubs, White Sox, Blackhawks, Bulls and most importantly "Da Bears." He was always willing to help anyone out.

He is survived by his wife Tracy of Warren; three sisters - Mary (Dennis) Foley of Apple River, IL, Julie (Jeff) Tuescher of Browntown, WI, and Denise (Steve) Mosley of Darlington, WI; a brother Mike (Teri) Williams of Warren; his in laws Gary and Jo Wand of Warren; two sisters-in-law J.C. Wand of Omaha, NE and Jamie Petsche of Warren; a brother-in-law Jaben (Nikki) Wand of Gilmer, TX; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL. Friends are encouraged to wear their favorite sports team apparel.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Apple River United Methodist Church.

Prior to the service, there will be an hour of visitation at the church.

Officiating will be Pastor Donna Hoffman.

Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Apple River.

A luncheon will follow the services at the Apple River Events Center.

A memorial has been established in his name.
