Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Saturday:

• Christopher S. Long, 44, Woodford, was arrested for a fourth offense of operating while under the influence after responding to a traffic complaint at 12:48 a.m. in the N3800 block of Wis. 81 in the Town of Monroe. Long was jailed pending court.

On Sunday:

• Courtney M. Fortney, 17, and Mitchell C. Bartelt, 17, both of Monroe, were cited for underage possession/consumption of alcohol at 12:58 a.m. in the W6800 block of Highpoint Road in the Town of Washington. They were released to their parents pending court.

On Tuesday:

• Douglas L. Larson, 64, Browntown, was cited at 1:11 p.m. for unlawful use of telephone. Douglas intentionally called 911 but had no emergency to report. He was released pending court.

• Richard E. Thompson, 52, Monroe, was taken into custody for violating his probation at 3:10 p.m. at the 2841 6th Street. He was transported to the Green County Jail and was held pending disposition from his agent.

On Wednesday:

• Tina L. Elmer, 56, Janesville, was arrested for fleeing/eluding police stemming from a traffic stop at 10:11 a.m. She was initially stopped for operating while impaired but was not charged with that offense. She was taken into custody and jailed at the Green County Jail pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday:

• An injured animal was reported on the roadway at 12:08 a.m. on Cub Hollow Road in Monticello Township.

• Deputies assisted the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office at 1:01 a.m. in Scales Mound, Ill.

• A deputy responded at 9:17 a.m. to Wis. 11 in the City of Shullsburg to assist with traffic control.

• Criminal damage to property complaint was reported at 9:23 a.m. on Trotter Road in Wiota Township.

• A deputy addressed a disabled vehicle at 6:10 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Wayne Township he saw while on patrol.

• A deputy responded to a residential alarm at 7:20 p.m. on White Street in the Village of Benton.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 9:28 p.m. on County G in Belmont Township. Belmont Police assisted on scene.

• A deputy assisted a motorist with the Belmont Police Department at 11:19 p.m. on South Mound Avenue in the Village of Belmont. 

On Wednesday:

• A deputy responded to a 911 misdial at 11:11 a.m. on County K in the Village of Gratiot.

• A deputy responded at 11:26 a.m. to North Galena Street in the Village of South Wayne for a welfare check.

• A deputy responded at 11:37 a.m. to County J in Benton Township for a traffic complaint.

• A deputy responded at 2:46 p.m. to Oak Street in Argyle Township for a welfare check.

• A deputy responded at 5:56 p.m. to County H in Benton Township for threatening complaints.

• A deputy discovered an open door at 7:35 p.m. on Main Street in the Village of Gratiot.

• A deputy responded to a civil dispute at 7:59 p.m. on Main Street in the Village of Gratiot.

• Nathan L. Switzer, 20, Lena, Ill., was cited for speeding at 8:38 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township.



Monroe Police Department

MONROE - On Monday:

• Ricky A. Erving, 30, Monroe, was arrested for disorderly conduct and bail jumping at 4:26 a.m. in the 1600 block of 4th Avenue West after officers responded to a report of an employee creating a disturbance. Erving was confined to the Green County Jail.



Darlington Police Department

DARLINGTON - On Saturday:

• Nathaniel L. Meredith, 38, Hazel Green, was arrested for disorderly conduct at 3 a.m. on Main Street following a disturbance.

On Monday:

• John Hocking, 45, Darlington, was cited for improper registration at 7:20 a.m. on Galena Street.

On Tuesday:

• Tyre Hall, 19, Cuba City, was cited for speeding at 9:05 a.m. on Galena Street.
