Monroe Police

MONROE - On Thursday:

• Nicholas J. Kurtzweil, 39, Argyle, was arrested at 12:51 a.m. in the 100 block of North 18th Avenue on a warrant for failure to pay child support. He was jailed.

• Mark R. Masters, 31, Monroe, was arrested at 2:58 p.m. in the area of 9th Avenue and 16th Street on a warrant for failure to pay child support. He was jailed.

• A set of keys was turned into the lost and found via the night deposit box at First National Bank & Trust. The owner may claim the keys at the police department.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Patrick N. Flood, 59, Brooklyn, was arrested on a warrant after deputies responded at 5:02 p.m. Thursday to a residence in the N7900 block of County E, Town of Brooklyn. Bond was posted for Flood, and he was released pending court.

• The sheriff's office is seeking information on a burglary that occurred at a business in the 400 block of Wisconsin 11 in Browntown sometime in the overnight hours between Wednesday and Thursday. It was reported at 5:55 a.m. Thursday. Anyone with information on the case can contact the sheriff's office at 608-328-9400.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Thursday:

• A deputy responded at 10:05 a.m. to check welfare on Main Street in Gratiot.

• A deputy assisted Lafayette County Human Services at 11:27 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle.

• A deputy responded at 1:30 p.m. to check welfare on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

• A juvenile problem was reported at 3:18 p.m. on East Center Street in South Wayne.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 4:21 p.m. on Pecatonica Road, Town of Wiota.

• Isaac C. Wiegel, 18, Belmont, was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 5:46 p.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove.

• A deputy came upon a suspicious vehicle at 6:23 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.

• Gary A. Jenkins, 29, Beloit, was cited for speeding at 7:02 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:02 p.m. on County F, Town of Willow Springs.

• A domestic dispute was reported at 9:31 p.m. on East High Street in Shullsburg. Shullsburg police assisted deputies on scene.

• Deputies assisted Shullsburg police with a welfare check on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.
