MONROE - Gordon K. Grunder, 52, Monroe, was in good condition at the University of Wisconsin Hospital Friday, following a motorcycle accident about 3:15 p.m. Thursday on Wisconsin 69.
According to police reports, Grunder was southbound on Wis. 69 when his motorcycle rear-ended a vehicle driven by John D. Brinkmeier, 45, New Glarus. Brinkmeier was stopped in traffic, attempting to make a left turn onto Allison Road from Wis. 69. Grunder was ejected from the motorcycle over Brinkmeier's vehicle. He was not wearing a helmet and suffered life-threatening injuries.
Grunder was transported to an area hospital and was later taken to UW hospital, where he remained Friday.
Brinkmeier was wearing a seat belt, and suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital by private vehicle.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
