MONTICELLO - A man was taken to a Madison hospital after he was injured by a horse Wednesday.
Lt. Paul Weichbrod of the Green County Sheriff's Department said the sheriff's department was called at about 5 p.m. to the N6900 block of Wisconsin 69, north of Monticello. Weichbrod said the man sustained "severe" injuries and was taken by Med Flight to a Madison hospital.
The man's name and residence were not released because his family was still being notified, Weichbrod said.
Green County Emergency Medical Services, Monticello First Response, the Monticello Fire Department and a Green County deputy responded to the scene.
No further information was available Wednesday.
