Mr. Harry William Hanson, 81, of Monroe died on Friday, May 15, 2009, at the Monroe Clinic Hospital.
He was born on December 21, 1927, in Jordan Township, Green County, to Harry M. and Nellie (Foley) Hanson. He graduated from the Peebles School in rural Albany. Mr. Hanson joined the Army and was a Korean War Veteran.
He worked as a mechanic at the Teale Auto Dealership in Albany. He also was employed as a truck driver. Mr. Hanson was a "jack of all trades."
He is survived by his sister, Edna Knipschild, Monroe, and also cousins, nieces and nephews in the area.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Clinton Hanson; and one sister, Maxine Webner.
A private family funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at the Sharer-Bifulk Funeral Home in Albany. Time of service is 11 a.m. Fr. Mick Moon will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 19, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The Sharer-Bifulk Funeral Home is very honored to be serving the Hanson family.
