Fire/EMS Calls: Aug. 24, 2013

Monroe Police

MONROE - The Monroe Fire Department and police were dispatched to a fire alarm at the old Walmart building in the 400 block of West 8th Street at 5:06 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21. It was a false alarm, set off accidentally by a problem with the water system. There wa s no fire.

• The Monroe Fire Department and police were dispatched to a fire in an oven at a residence in the 100 block of North 20th Avenue at 5:27 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21.

• Police responded to a 911 call at 9:46 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, about a problem with a smoke detector in the 1800 block of 14th Avenue. There was no fire. The Monroe Fire Department was called in to handle the situation.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - An ambulance was dispatched to the W6700 block of Franklin Road in Monroe Township at 7:23 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22.

DARLINGTON - On Thursday, Aug. 22:

• Benton First Response and Cuba City EMS responded at 6:54 a.m. to a residence on Jerry's Lane in Benton Township.

• Rural Medical Ambulance responded at 10:43 a.m. to a call at Sienna Crest Assisted Living, 1619 Fayette Rd., Darlington.

• Rural Medical Ambulance responded at 7:49 p.m. to a call at Lafayette Manor, 719 E. Catherine St., Darlington.

• Shullsburg EMS responded at 9:49 p.m. to a call at a residence on West Main Street in Shullsburg.
