Green County Misdemeanors
The court Wednesday scheduled an April 15 district attorney conference for Werner J. Rast, 46, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to battery, intimidation of a victim and disorderly conduct.
Court records indicate he pushed a woman to the floor, repeatedly hit her in the face with his fist and with a beer can Nov. 11 at a Monroe residence. He also ripped the phone cord off the wall and put a shoe in her mouth so she couldn't yell for help.
He is charged with battery and intimidation of a victim, both class A misdemeanors, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces up to 21 months in jail and up to $21,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $5,000 signature bond.
In a second case, the court scheduled an April 15 district attorney conference for Rast after he pleaded not guilty to battery, bail jumping and disorderly conduct.
Court records indicate he pushed a woman to the floor, causing her to hurt her knee and hand Feb. 12 at a Monroe residence. He was on bond for the previous case at the time of the incident.
