Green County Felonies

On Thursday:

• Michael D. Homan, 40, Brodhead, had bond set at $9,500 with additional conditions that he have no contact with the victim or her residence in Brodhead, except to pickup personal belongings if accompanied by an officer and that he not drink or do drugs. Homan is charged with four Class H felony counts two for domestic abuse related strangulation and two for false imprisonment. He also has one Class G felony count of intimidating a victim and one misdemeanor count of battery. The charges stem from an incident that occurred Tuesday. If convicted for the maximum penalty he could face up to 34 years and three months imprisonment, or $75,000 in fines or both. He has a preliminary hearing set for July 9.

• Ralph F. Stammen, had a signature bond set at $3,000 with additional conditions that he not drink and have no contact with the victim until after 3:30 p.m. Friday. Stammen is charged with domestic abuse related disorderly conduct and battery. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Tuesday. If convicted for the maximum penalty he could face up to six months imprisonment or $15,000 in fines or both. He has a preliminary hearing set for July 3.



Misdemeanors

• Michael R. Fricks, 24, Monroe, was found guilty on Thursday, due to a no contest plea of one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of misdemeanor taking a vehicle without consent. He also had charges of disorderly conduct, bail jumping, entry into a building without permission and taking a vehicle without consent dismissed. He will serve four months and 15 days in jail with work release privileges, is ordered to pay restitution costs to the victim, undergo a health assessment and is ordered to obtain and keep employment. Court records indicate Fricks yelled and swore and hit a man in the jaw on Jan. , 2013. The next day he went back to the residence of the victim and attempted to tow away with an ATV a Ford Ranger truck that did not belong to him. Frick's mother wrote a letter to the court and wrote this was not a "one-time occurrence," and that her son needs counseling. He owes a fine of $5,743.
