Misdemeanors


• James S. Stansberry III, 29, Orangeville, pleaded no contest and was fined $267.50 June 10 for a forfeiture charge of marijuana possession that had been reduced from a second-offense misdemeanor. The charge stems from a traffic stop in Sylvester Township on March 22, when officers responded to a report of an erratic driver on Wis. 69 and found 11.7 grams of marijuana in a baggie concealed under the driver's seat.



Lafayette County

Felonies


• Candelario Ortega-Sanchez, 18, Darlington, was sentenced June 11 to one and a half years in prison and two years of extended supervision for convictions of exposing a child to harmful material, a Class I felony, and two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, Class A misdemeanors. Court records indicate he showed pornography to and had sex with a 13-year-old girl last July in his apartment on Main Street in Darlington, and had sex with her in a vehicle parked at his workplace, Stauffacher Highway Dairy Farms, 16639 Wisconsin 23, Darlington.



Misdemeanors

• Larry W. Paisley, 56, Darlington, pleaded no contest June 7 to a Class B misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct, stemming from a dispute with his brother outside a residence in the 16800 block of Crist Lane in Willow Springs Township last September. He was granted a one-year deferred prosecution with the conditions that he have no contact with the brother and other family members or their minor children. He is also ordered to undergo a Behavioral Health Assessment through Lafayette County Human Services and follow through with any treatment and counseling recommendations. He owes the court $243.

• Myles T.J. Gudgalis, 29, Beetown, was charged June 3 with a Class A misdemeanor count of criminal damage to property and a Class B misdemeanor county of disorderly conduct, stemming from an incident March 26 at a residence on South Mound Avenue in Belmont. He allegedly caused a disturbance, damaged two doors and a vacuum cleaner and shattered a Mason jar. A warrant is issued for his arrest.

• Timothy A. Heinze, 34, Shullsburg, was charged June 4 with unclassified misdemeanor counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of a restricted controlled substance (two counts) and possessing THC. The charges stem from a traffic stop for speeding at 9:50 a.m. Oct. 16 on Wisconsin 11 in New Diggings Township. The arresting officer wrote in the report that Heinze had bloodshot eyes, failed field sobriety tests and had a jar of marijuana in the backseat. Lab tests indicate Heinze had marijuana chemicals in his blood. His initial appearance in court is June 17.
