Anita Joyce Malinski, age 66, of Argyle, WI, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2013, at her home. She was born November 7, 1946 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Francis and Mildred (Hendrickson) Malinski. She graduated from Immaculata High School in Chicago in 1964.

Anita is survived by her nieces and nephews: Ronald (Leesa) Hanagan of Reston, VA, Deborah (Chris) Mueller of Carlisle, PA, Steven (Jana) Hanagan of Ballston Lake, NY, Audrey Hanagan (Eileen Peterson) of Vancouver, British Columbia, and David Hanagan of Seattle, WA; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister: Patricia Hanagan on December 5, 1992.

Anita was politically active in her youth. She attended DePaul University in Chicago and enjoyed history and architecture. Anita lived and worked in Chicago most of her life. After moving to Argyle in 2008 to care for her mother until she passed in 2011, Anita became involved in Historic Argyle, enjoyed knitting at the Fiber Mill, and researching her family genealogy.

A visitation only will be held Friday, August 30, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Erickson Funeral Home, 801 East Milwaukee Street in Argyle. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in rural Argyle where a committal service will be held by Rev. Ron Brubakken of Cornerstone Lutheran Church in rural Argyle.
