Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — On Jan. 30: 

● Disorderly conduct involving loud music was reported at 6:59 p.m. in the 100 block of Main Street. 

● A parking citation for a winter parking violation was issued at 10 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. 

● An alarm was reported at 12:23 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. Everything was okay. 

On Jan. 31: 

● Kristopher E. Hasler, 35, Monticello, was cited for disorderly conduct at 12:57 a.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. 

● Police issued five parking citations at 5 a.m. for winter parking violation. 

● Damaged mailboxes were reported at 5:16 a.m. in the 400 block of East Park Avenue. Investigation is ongoing.

On Feb. 1: 

● Illegal dumping was reported at 11:05 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. Kassi R. Baker, 25, Monticello, was cited for illegal dumping. 

● Police received information in regards to a civil child custody dispute at 1:49 p.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street. 

● A fraudulent phone call was reported at 4:12 p.m. in the 100 block of Urban Road. Investigation is ongoing. 

● A parking citation for a 24-hour parking violation was issued at 7:04 p.m. and at 7:21 p.m. in the 100 block of Staedtler Avenue. 

On Feb. 3: 

● Monticello Fire First Response and Monroe EMS responded at 3:05 p.m. for a medical call in Monticello. 

● An unregistered/junk vehicle was reported at 4:45 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. 

On Feb. 4: 

● A fraudulent phone call was reported at 11:23 a.m. in the 700 block of Johnson Street.

● Police responded for a vehicle unlock at 7:57 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. 

On Feb. 5: 

● A parking complaint was reported at 7:29 a.m. in the 100 block of East Lake Avenue. A citation for violation of the winter parking regulations was issued. 

● A sick person inside a business was reported at 12:10 p.m. The person left the business on their own accord. 

● Suspicious activity was reported at 3:32 p.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street. Nothing suspicious was found.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Jan. 31 to Feb. 6, police performed nine security checks, 19 citizen assists, 14 assists of other agencies, 10 follow-ups to incidents, 13 vehicle registration and two traffic stops; responded to 46 calls for service and reported nine EMS calls, six 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and two fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

On Jan. 31: 

● A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 12:57 a.m. in the 2300 block of East 9th Avenue. 

● Four parking citations were issued for violation of city’s winter parking ordinance. 

● A Brodhead man, 24, was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, resisting/obstructing, felony bail jumping, and a probation hold at 4:03 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

● A traffic crash involving a plow truck sliding into a passing car was reported at 7:33 a.m. in the 2000 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

● A code violation involving a subject blowing snow into the street was reported at 11:37 a.m. in the 100 block of Juniper Avenue. A warning was issued. 

● A code violation involving a subject pushing snow into the street was reported at 7:06 p.m. in the 700 block of West 2nd Avenue. 

● A Brodhead man, 60, was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct at 9:56 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

On Feb. 1: 

● A Janesville man, 23, was cited for driving after revocation and no vehicle insurance at 2:28 a.m. in the 100 block of 1st Street. A misdemeanor bail jumping charge will be referred to the Green County District Attorney. 

● A vehicle in violation of the city’s junk vehicle ordinance was reported at 10:38 a.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. A verbal warning was issued. 

● A scam call was reported at 11:57 a.m. in the 200 block of 12th Street, at 12:22 p.m. and 12:27 p.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street and at 2:38 p.m. in the 1300 block of 21st Street. 

On Feb. 2: 

● A stolen skateboard was reported at 6:47 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 2nd Avenue. Skateboard was returned to its owner. 

● Harassment was reported at 7:53 p.m. in the 500 block of 11th Street. Verbal warnings were issued. 

● Suspicious activity was reported at 7:23 a.m. Feb. 3 in the 1000 block of 19th Street. Nothing suspicious was found. 

On Feb. 4: 

● Scam calls were reported at 2:20 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. 

● Fraud involving giving out partial card number was reported at 4:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 3rd Avenue. Subject was advised to contact their bank. 

● Suspicious activity was reported at 5:29 p.m. in the 1200 block of west 2nd Avenue. 

● A citation was issued for a vehicle in violation of the city’s winter parking ordinance at 11:27 p.m. in the 900 block of 10th Street and at 11:39 p.m. in the 900 block of East 2nd Avenue. 

● A gas drive-off was reported at 12:10 p.m. Feb. 5 in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Driver was advised to bring proof of payment to gas station. 


Lafayette County Sheriff

On Jan. 21: 

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 4:24 a.m. on County N, Town of Wiota and at 6 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Lamont. 

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 11:49 a.m. on Main Street in Gratiot. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 6:03 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle. 

●  A deputy responded for traffic control at 9:44 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. 

● A domestic dispute was reported at 11:01 p.m. on Shawnee Road, Town of New Diggings. 

On Jan. 22: 

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 7:04 p.m. on Carr Factory Road, Town of Benton and at 9:32 p.m. on County Shop Road, Town of Darlington. 

●  A suspicious person was reported at 9:29 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont. Belmont police assisted. 

●  A deputy located a suspicious vehicle at 9:50 p.m. on Glenville Road, Town of Shullsburg. 

On Jan. 23: 

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 12:33 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. 

●  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 3:29 a.m. on Prairie Road, Town of Seymour. 

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 2:34 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. 

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 8:34 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle. 

● Livestock on the roadway was reported at 11:08 a.m. Jan. 24 on County U, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A deputy assisted with a vehicle unlock at 6:15 a.m. Jan. 25 on Faymont Road, Town of Darlington. 

On Jan. 26: 

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 3:06 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont, at 4:09 a.m. on Walnut Road, Town of Wiota, at 5:53 a.m. on County B, Town of Belmont, at 5:55 a.m. on Owego Road, Town of Wiota, at 6:19 a.m. on County P, Town of Monticello, at 6:23 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs, at 8:59 a.m. on County K, Town of Darlington and at 8:10 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne. 

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 3:36 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. 

●  A deputy responded for traffic control at 9:02 a.m. on West Center Street in South Wayne. 

●  Randall S. Zuber, 43, South Wayne, was arrested at 1:28 p.m. on a warrant. He was jailed.
