Green County Sheriff

MONROE — An altercation was reported at 1:49 a.m. Nov. 30 in the N1300 block of Mt. Hope Road, Town of Spring Grove. Paul Ramirez Castro, 32, Brodhead, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence and a charge of disorderly conduct. He was also cited for driving while revoked. He was jailed pending court. Brodhead police assisted.

●  Isaiah Ramos, 24, Freeport, was arrested on two counts of felony bail jumping and operating with a restricted controlled substance at 3:51 a.m. Dec. 2 in the N3400 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. He was also cited for speeding, possession of THC and driving without a valid license, his second offense within three years. He was jailed.

●  Deputies, Green County EMS and the Monticello Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle parked in the roadway with a person passed out behind the wheel at 12:43 a.m. Dec. 6 in the W5100 block of County C, Town of Washington. Moises Francisco Marin Lopez, 35, Monticello, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence. He was also cited for possession of open intoxicants in a vehicle and driving without a valid license. He was released pending court.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Keith A. Jackson, 52, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of trespassing at 3:52 p.m. Dec. 1 in the 1700 block of 30th Avenue following a report that he entered a residence without consent and refused to leave. He was jailed.

●  Jacob R. Heins, 34, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 12:40 a.m. Dec. 3 in the 1400 block of 21st Street following a report of suspicious activity. He was also cited for operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration. He was released to a responsible party.

●  Nicholas J. McCormick, 21, Blanchardville, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 1:47 a.m. Dec. 4 in the 1300 block of 18th Street. He was also cited for operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration, open intoxicants in vehicle and driving while suspended. He was released to a responsible party.

●  Troy J. H. Hawkinson, 27, Argyle, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 1:35 a.m. Dec. 6 following a traffic stop at Wis. 69 and 8th Street. He was also cited for operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration and failure to yield right of way from a flashing red signal. He was released to a responsible party.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Nov. 29 to Dec. 5, police performed 52 security checks, 21 citizen assists, six assists of other agencies, 13 follow-ups to incidents, 11 vehicle registration and five traffic stops; responded to 38 calls for service and reported 11 EMS calls, 11 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and one fire call. No detox or mental health transports were reported.

On Nov. 29:

●  Harassment was reported at 7:03 p.m. in the 100 block of Cedar Avenue.

●  An open door was reported at 7:14 p.m. in the 700 block of 11th Street. Police patrolled the area and resecured the door.

On Nov. 30:

●  An Illinois man, 26, was cited for speeding at 9:30 a.m. in the 200 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A fraudulent check was reported at 4:31 p.m. in the 900 block of East 7th Avenue. The recipient did not do anything with the check, just wanted it documented.

●  An Albany man, 49, was cited at 7:13 p.m. for driving after suspension.

On Dec. 1:

●  An Illinois woman, 26, was cited for speeding at 7:57 a.m. in the 1400 block of West 5th Avenue.

●  Disorderly conduct involving a woman trying to run her son off the road was reported at 5:10 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th Street. Police investigated and all parties involved were verbally warned.

On Dec. 2:

●  Suspicious activity involving an occupied vehicle in a lot was reported at 3:22 a.m. in the W400 block of Decatur Road. Nothing suspicious was found.

●  An open door was reported at 3:17 p.m. in the 1100 block of 21st Street. Officers patrolled the area and found nothing suspicious.

On Dec. 3:

●  A person walking through lots was reported at 5:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. Officers patrolled the area and did not locate anyone.

●  An Argyle man, 21, was cited for non-registration of an auto at 9:54 a.m. in the 900 block of 5th Street.

●  Suspicious activity involving a fingerprint on a window was reported at 12:16 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. Police found no evidence of suspicious activity.

On Dec. 4:

●  A Monroe man, 26, was cited for speeding at 4:55 a.m. in the 300 block of 1st Street.

●  A Brodhead man, 17, was cited for speeding at 7:45 a.m. in the 2000 block of West 5th Avenue.

●  A Brodhead man, 43, was arrested at 9:51 p.m. in the 900 block of East 4th Avenue following a verbal domestic dispute. Charges are being referred to the Green County District Attorney.

●  A scam email was reported at 12:29 a.m.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Nov. 30:

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 1:42 a.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  An abandoned vehicle was reported at 1:51 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 2:02 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 7:55 a.m. on Cisserville Road, Town of Wiota.

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 12:07 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 1:42 p.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle and at 3:18 p.m. on West Grove Street in South Wayne.

●  A disagreement between two women was reported at 4:51 p.m. on Galena Street in Argyle. No one was charged.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:31 p.m. on County F, Town of Blanchard.

On Dec. 1:

●  An injured deer was reported at 7:45 a.m. on County C, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Theft of license plates was reported at 12:33 p.m. on Heins Road, Town of Belmont.

●  James L. Darrow, 58, Platteville, was cited for speeding at 1:37 p.m. on County B, Town of Belmont.

●  A parking problem was reported at 2:30 p.m. on North Warren Street in South Wayne.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 3:22 p.m. on East Center Street in South Wayne.

On Dec. 2:

●  Brandon S. Richardson, 31, South Wayne, was cited for possession of THC and a non-functioning brake light at 11:09 a.m. on County D in South Wayne. His passenger, Kole A. Figi, 26, Blanchardville, was arrested on a Lafayette County warrant. He was released after posting bond.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 12:55 p.m. on County Z, Town of Darlington.

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 4:24 p.m. on West Main Street in Benton.

●  Brady C. Ploog, 21, Stockton, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 8:36 p.m. on County W, Town of Shullsburg.

●  Andrea M. Deckert, 34, Scales Mound, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 10:46 p.m. on County W, Town of New Diggings.

On Dec. 3:

●  Brandon L. Tesack, 28, Belmont, was cited for speeding at 5:28 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Kelly J. Kurth, 38, Benton, was cited for speeding at 5:43 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Waylon V. Palzkill, 17, Mineral Point, was cited for speeding at 9:20 p.m. on South Park Street in Belmont.
