Brodhead Police 

BRODHEAD — For the week of Aug. 12 to Aug. 18, the Brodhead Police Department responded to 21 calls for service, seven follow up to incidents, nine vehicle registrations, 19 citizen assists, 62 security checks, five assist other agencies, 18 traffic stops, five 911/BEEMS, two fire calls and six EMS calls. 

On Aug. 12:

•  Disorderly conduct was reported at 1:09 a.m. at 1100 West 2nd Avenue. The subjects left the area prior to officer’s arrival.

•  Damage to property was reported at 2:45 a.m. on the 1100 block of east 9th avenue. A vehicle drove through the grass on the property. The matter remains under investigation.

•  A traffic crash was reported at 9:17 a.m. on the 800 block of 11sth street. No citations were issued.

•  Disorderly conduct was reported at 8:17 p.m. on the 500 block of 10th street when a juvenile caused a disturbance at a residence. The case was referred to juvenile intake.

On Aug. 13:

•  A dog at large was reported at 3:27 p.m. at the 500 block of 3rd street. The owner was contacted and a warning was issued.

•  A 66-year-old Brodhead man was cited for operating after revocation and non-registration of a vehicle at 5:21 p.m. on the 1700 block of East 9th Avenue.

•  A 52-year-old Brodhead man was cited for failure to stop for an emergency vehicle at 5:21 p.m. on the 1700 block of East 9th Avenue.

•  A dog at large was reported at 10:26 p.m. on the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner was contacted and a warning was issued.

On Aug. 16:

•  Disorderly conduct was reported at 4:52 p.m. on the 300 block of 23rd street when a subject caused a disturbance. The matter is being referred to the Green County District Attorney’s office. 

On Aug. 17:

Harassment was reported at 7:12 p.m. on the 400 block of 2nd street. A subject was receiving unwanted messages via social media. Contact was made and the matter was resolved.

•  A 22-year-old Brodhead man was cited for dog at large at 11:03 a.m. on the 500 block of 5th street.

•  Fraud was reported at 7:49 p.m. when a scam phone call was received at the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. No information was given by the complainant.

On Aug. 18:

•  A 38-year-old Albany woman was cited for speeding at 7:46 a.m. in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue.

•  A 25-year-old Albany man was cited for speeding and motor vehicle liability insurance required at 8:30 a.m. in the N300 block of 1st Center Avenue.

•  A 40-year-old Brodhead man was cited for disorderly conduct following a verbal altercation at 8:49 a.m. in the 800 block of 1st Center Avenue.

•  A 46-year-old Rockford, Illinois, man was cited for speeding at 3:20 p.m. in the 1100 block of 4th Street.

•  A 50-year-old Monona woman was cited for speeding at 3:52 p.m. in the 1100 block of 4th street. 

•  A 59-year-old Waunakee man was cited for speeding at 3:52 p.m. in the 1100 block of 4th street.

•  A gas drive off was reported at 5:09 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. It was determined to be an oversight and the driver returned to pay for the gas.

•  A 34-year-old Twin Lakes man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, operating with a prohibited alcohol content and possession of marijuana at 5:38 p.m. in the 300 block of East 6th avenue. He was also cited for non-registration of a motor vehicle and motor vehicle liability insurance required.

DARLINGTON — On Aug. 16:

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:35 a.m. on North Lake Road in Blanchard Township.

•  A deputy responded to a vehicle unlock at 8:50 a.m. on South Penn Street in Belmont.

•  A deputy responded to a911 misdial at 11:08 a.m. on Ames Branch Road in Seymour Township.

•  Juan Pablo, 19, Darlington, was cited for operating without a valid driver’s license at 1:08 p.m. on County XX in Belmont township.

•  Debris on the roadway was reported at 3:56 p.m. on County H in Benton Township.

•  A deputy responded to a 911 misdial at 4:54 p.m. on Fairview Street in Blanchardville. 

•  A deputy encountered a disabled vehicle at 7:07 p.m. on Blackhawk Road in Monticello Township.

•  Disorderly conduct was reported at 7:40 p.m. on South Judgement Street in Shullsburg.

•  Debris on the roadway was reported at 8:35 p.m. on Wis. 78 in Wiota Township. Lafayette County Highway Department assisted.

•  Debris on the roadway was reported at 9:27 p.m. on County M in Wiota.

•  Jeremy J. Adams, 22, Chicago, Illinois, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign on County W in White Oak Springs Township.

On Aug. 17:

•  A traffic hazard was reported at 12:22 a.m. on County M in Wiota Township.

•  Criminal damage was reported at 10:24 a.m. on County G in Kendall Township.

•  A deputy responded to a 911 misdial at 12:51 p.m. on Ames Brand Road in Seymour Township.

•  A deputy responded to assist Grant County at 12:52 p.m. on Dawn Vista Drive in Belmont.

•  A traffic hazard was reported at 2:09 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Willow Springs Township.

•  A deputy responded to a 911 misdial at 3:12 p.m. on Mates Avenue in Belmont.

•  A traffic complaint was reported at 3:44 p.m. on South Galena Road in Elk Grove Township.

•  An animal noise complaint was reported at 4:12 p.m. on South McKnight Street in South Wayne.

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 4:32 p.m. on Holland Road in Willow Springs Township.

•  A disabled vehicle was reported at 6:20 p.m. on County F in Fayette Township.

•  A disabled vehicle was reported at 8:04 p.m. on County XX in Belmont Township. 

•  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9:13 p.m. on Ridge Street in Willow Springs Township.

•  Thomas D. Kennedy, 18, Platteville, was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 9:58 p.m. on County H in Benton Township. 

On Aug. 18:

•  Garrett C. Simon, 18, Cuba City was cited for no proof of insurance at 12:07 a.m. on County H in Benton Township.

•  Suspicious activity was reported at 12:39 a.m. on County F in Darlington Township.

•  A deputy responded to assist the Grant County Sheriff’s Office at 6:51 a.m. on 14th Street in Hazel Green.

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:18 a.m. on Wis. 78 in Wiota Township.

•  An animal problem was reported at 8:43 a.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.

•  A deputy responded to assist the Darlington Police Department with a welfare check at 9:19 a.m. on East Street in Darlington. Darlington fire assisted.

•  A deputy assisted the Darlington police department on a traffic stop at 9:22 a.m. on Catherine Street in Darlington. 

•  A blocked roadway was reported at 11:17 a.m. on Wis. 11 in New Diggings Township.

•  An animal problem was reported at 11:48 a.m. on East Truth Street in Shullsburg.

•  A deputy responded to a vehicle unlock at 1:23 p.m. on County X in Elk Grove Township.

•  A deputy responded to assist the Lafayette County human Services at 2:16 p.m. on Maple Street in Blanchardville.

Suspicious activity was reported at 2:49 p.m. on Arbor Street in Benton.

•  An animal bite was reported at 3:37 p.m. on County Shop Road in Darlington Township.

•  A deputy responded to a vehicle unlock at 6:25 p.m. on South Park Street in Belmont.

•  Alexis L. Graf, 22, Lena, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 7:30 p.m. on County W in White Oak Springs Township. 

•  A deputy responded to assist the Janesville Police Department at 7:38 p.m. on Monroe Street in Argyle.

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:08 p.m. on Wis. 81 in Lamont Township.

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:20 p.m. on Willow Branch Road in Kendall Township.

•  Disorderly conduct was reported at 8:43 p.m. on Bean Street in Benton. Benton first response, Hazel Green EMS and the Hazel Green Police Department assisted on scene. Jannie M. Armbrust, 38, Benton, was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, discharge bodily fluids to law enforcement and battery to a law officer. Armbrust was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where she remains in custody.

•  A deputy assisted the Darlington police department with a traffic stop at 11:25 p.m. on East Street in Darlington.

•  A hit and run accident was reported at 11:33 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Willow Springs Township. 

On Aug. 19:

•  A deputy responded to a welfare check at 1:09 a.m. on Sheffer Lane in New Diggings Township.

•  A noise complaint was reported at 2:30 a.m. on West Mount View Avenue in Belmont. 

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:15 a.m. on County G in Argyle.

•  Deputies responded to a welfare check at7:46 a.m. on Alvin Street in Blanchardville.

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 11:04 p.m. on Wis. 78 in Gratiot Township.

•  A deputy responded to a welfare check at 1:53 p.m. on Wis. 78 in Gratiot.

•  A deputy responded to a welfare check at 2:04 p.m. on Swanson Road in Wayne Township.

•  A deputy responded to a welfare check at 4:53 p.m. on Water Street in Benton.

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 6:14 p.m. on county F in Fayette Township.

•  Disorderly conduct was reported at 6:25 p.m. on West Mount Road in Belmont Township.

•  A civil dispute was reported at 6:39 p.m. on County D in Wayne Township.

•  Gina A. Heeb, 23, McFarland, was cited for speeding at 7:34 p.m. on Wis. 151 in Belmont Township.

•  Emily D. Campbell, 23, Sun Prairie, was cited for speeding at 8:09 p.m. on Wis. 151 in Belmont Township. 

•  A deputy responded to a welfare check at 8:27 p.m. on Maple Street in Blanchardville. 

•  Suspicious activity was reported at 8:40 p.m. on East Main Street in Benton.


New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS — On Aug. 13:

•  A traffic hazard was reported at 1:20 p.m. in the 100 block of 2nd street. The Village Public Works Department was notified for removal.

•  Kyle J. Holverson, 32, Belleville, was cited for illegal window tint on a motor vehicle at 4:22 p.m. on Wis. 69 near 6th avenue. 

•  Police responded to a medical call at 5:21 p.m. on the 900 block of Glarner Drive.

•  Kimberly E. Overland, 44, New Glarus, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance at 6:26 p.m. on Wis. 69 near 6th street. 

•  A possible animal neglect case was reported at 3:41 p.m. on New Glarus. The investigation is ongoing.

•  A domestic incident was reported at 9:46 p.m. on the 500 block of 4th avenue. Alexander #. Guevara, 25, New Glarus, was arrested for domestic substantial battery and domestic disorderly conduct. Guevara was transported and booked into the Green county Jail.

On Aug. 14:

•  Erin E. Obrien, 37, New Glarus, was cited for improper display of registration at 5:38 p.m. on the 300 block of 3rd avenue.

•  A disabled vehicle was reported at 9:31 p.m. on Hillside Circuit at Durst Road.

On Aug. 15:

•  Theft was reported at 10:15 a.m. in New Glarus. Upon investigation it was found to not be a criminal act and was clarified to be a civil matter between two parties. 

•  A parking complaint was reported at 4:15 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st street.

•  Police assisted a citizen in checking the level of tint on the vehicle at 5:35 p.m.

On Aug. 16:

•  Police checked on a person sleeping in a vehicle at 3:34 p.m. on the 400 block of 3rd street. 

•  Police responded to a vehicle unlock at 4 p.m. on the 200 block of Rail Road Street.

•  Police responded to a vehicle unlock at 5 p.m. on the 500 block of 10th Avenue. 

•  Police removed a tree branch from the road at 11:10 p.m. in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue.

On Aug. 17: 

•  Police responded to a 911 misdial at 12L21 a.m. on the 900 block of Railroad Street.

•  Rhonda A. Walmer, 40, Monroe, was cited for speeding at 12:59 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

•  Police assisted the Monroe Police Department at 4:20 p.m. in the 200 block of 14th Avenue. 

On Aug. 18:

•  A dog at large was reported at 10:55 a.m. The owner retrieved the dog prior to dispatch.

•  Police responded to a medical call at 11:08 p.m. on the 600 block of Glarner Drive. 

•  A dog in a vehicle was reported at 2:55 p.m. on the 100 block of 6th avenue.

•  A handicap parking violation was reported at 3 p.m. on the 500 block of Second Street. 

•  Police were dispatched to assist the Green County Sheriff’s office with a suspicious incident at 5:49 p.m.  Prior to leaving they were disregarded. 

•  Nine juveniles inside of the village hall were identified, warned, released and advised not to enter buildings after hours at 6:43 p.m.

On Aug. 19: 

•  A dog at large was reported at 2:42 a.m. The owner retrieved the dog prior to dispatch.

•  Ongoing speed and other traffic violation issues were reported at 3:20 p.m. on the 600 block of 14th avenue. This area will be targeted for increased traffic/speed enforcement details. Please respect the posted speed limit of 25 mph and other traffic laws in this area of you could end up in our next weekly media release. 


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Aug. 19:

•  Jasmine A. Edghill, 23, Albany, was cited for possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:29 p.m. on the 400 block of North Mechanic Street in Albany. Edghill was released pending a court appearance. 


Monroe Police

MONROE — On Aug. 16:

•  Chad E. Pehl, 44, Monroe, was arrested at 3:06 p.m. in the 1600 block of 12th street on a warrant issued by Wisconsin Community Corrections for a probation violation. Pehl was confined at the Green County Jail. 

•  Stephanie R. Scott, 29, Monroe, was arrested at 10:27 p.m. Aug. 18 in the 1100 block of 29th Avenue following a call regarding an unwanted person at a residence. Scott was arrested for bail jumping due to a violation of court ordered bail conditions from a prior case prohibiting the use of alcohol. Scott was confined to the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
